What Makes BCBA-Led Parent Coaching Different (And Why It Matters)If you're reading this, you're probably in one of two places: either someone recommended parent coaching and you're trying to figure out what that actually means — or you've been searching for answers to your child's challenging behaviors and you're overwhelmed by the options. Either way, you deserve clear, honest information. Not sales pitches or vague promises. Here's what we wish every parent knew. Not All Parent Coaching Is Created EqualThe parent coaching world is booming. Instagram influencers, online course creators, and self-certified coaches are everywhere. Some are genuinely helpful. Many are not clinically trained. BCBA-led parent coaching is different. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst has a master's degree, completed supervised clinical hours, and passed a national certification exam in behavior analysis — with professional and ethical standards they're held accountable to. Behavior Analysis is a science of behavior. When you collect data, you understand why a behavior occurs. When you understand the why, you can introduce a more suitable alternative that works for everyone. Every strategy is grounded in behavioral science — not just good intentions or personal parenting experience. At TBS, we practice what we call parent-centered coaching. That means we don't just give you advice. We give you a personalized roadmap — strategies tailored to your child, your family dynamics, and your daily routines. 5 Things to Know About Parent Coaching at TBS01
Every plan is individualized. There is no one-size-fits-all coaching program. We start with a thorough assessment of your child's strengths, your family's challenges, and your goals before ever recommending a strategy. 02
You become the expert. The goal of coaching isn't dependence on a clinician — it's confidence in yourself. We teach you evidence-based strategies so you can handle challenging moments on your own, at home, at school, in the grocery store. 03
It works for a wide range of challenges.Tantrums, screen time battles, sibling conflict, school behavior, sleep struggles, the transition to adolescence, co-parenting disagreements — if you're ready to do the work, a parent coach might be exactly what you need. 04
You don't need a diagnosis.Parent coaching is available to any family that wants support. No referral required. No diagnosis necessary. 05
Multiple payment options are available. We accept private pay and insurance for select services for eligible South Carolina families. How to Know If Parent Coaching Is Right for Your FamilyParent coaching may be a good fit if: You've tried strategies from books and social media and nothing is sticking
Everyday routines feel harder than they should
You and your partner disagree on the best approach for your child
You have some tools but feel like you're missing something
School is raising concerns and you need support to make a plan that works
You're exhausted and need a professional partner, not more opinions
The best way to find out is to have a conversation. At TBS, we offer free discovery calls where we discuss your concerns, explain your options, and help you make an informed decision — no pressure, no commitment. Why TBS Is DifferentTBS is a boutique practice on purpose. We intentionally serve fewer clients so each family gets more attention and higher-quality care. Aubrielle takes the lead on coaching, and Nathan manages operations. Together, we built TBS to treat families like partners, not case numbers. We're also more than a coaching practice. Our social skills groups help children build friendships. Our STEAM+E workshops help children build curiosity and confidence. Everything we do is rooted in the same principle: equip the individual — child or adult — with the tools they need to transform their own lives. If you're ready to explore parent coaching, schedule your free discovery call. We'd love to hear your story. Schedule a Free Discovery Call Or call us at (803) 563-8303 |

TBS Village August 23rd Farewell Summer 2025! What a busy and rewarding summer it was for us here at TBS! Living in the South Carolina heat, and with the school year ending in May, summer break begins at the end of the month for us! We kicked off our summer with a trip to EdVenture for their tech-free summer event. While my kids have been there many times, it was my first time there! They had various vendors on-site for families to interact with. Seeing my kids learn through play was the...
